The Role: Your job with impact
You will shape the strategic development of the ARRIVES network with political and social actors in the field of migration - with a focus on Nigeria. You will develop access strategies to regional networks, expand cooperation with authorities, community centres and diaspora associations and represent ARRIVES in relevant committees and events. Through coordination, documentation and joint activities, you will ensure that the network work is implemented in a consistent, effective and future-oriented manner.
Your mission
- Further develop networks of the ARRIVES project with political and social stakeholders in the field of migration (focus on Nigeria).
- Develop strategy for access to regional networks and coordinate regional contact persons.
- Deepen access to the target group via refugee support structures, social welfare offices and shared accommodation centres.
- Networking, organising and coordinating events in partnership with diaspora associations.
- Harmonise MoUs and coordinate joint activities with partners.
- Present ARRIVES in committees and at events.
- Ensure accompanying organisation and documentation: Dispatch, distribution lists, participation lists, minutes.
Your profile
- Degree, e.g. social sciences, international cooperation, cultural studies, migration or comparable; alternatively equivalent experience.
- Professional experience in migration and stakeholder communication.
- Very good German and English language skills and a confident, assured manner.
- Experience in building and managing networks/partnerships; presentation skills; event organisation.
- Knowledge of Nigerian culture, society and realities of life; contacts to the Nigerian diaspora in Germany an advantage.
- PC skills; willingness to travel within Germany.
- Personal strengths: ability to work in a team, negotiation and planning skills, ability to deal with conflict, reliability, proactive and structured way of working, intercultural competence.

- Impact before numbers: We measure network quality, commitment (e.g. MoUs) and committee impact - not just contact numbers.
- Structured work: Clear agendas, protocols, distribution lists and follow-ups ensure transparency and reliability.
- Learning and visibility: Room for methodological fine-tuning (stakeholder analyses, regional strategies) and professional appearances in committees.
- Mobile and close at hand: travelling is planned for relationship work in the regions.
- Type of employment: initially limited to one year (ARRIVES project-related time limit); prospect of extension if funding is approved.
